The challenge
The farm produces a large amount of manure. In order to reduce its environmental impact, while at the same generating power, Postma decided to invest in a manure fermentation plant. With manure from his own farm, he generates energy which he then sells on to the energy company.

Our solution
The choice for leasing was obvious, in order to avoid residual value risk and tax risks. Since it involves an environmentally friendly measure, the entire amount invested qualifies for the EIA grant scheme.
Postma was able to take out a lease with Amstel Lease for a term of 10 years and a residual value of 10%. Postma: “The tax benefit is used to the full, and naturally I profit from that too.”
